Who we are
The Eredi di Asnaghi sas company was founded in 2002 when Simone, who attended the fabric furniture and upholstery school, after the death of his father Luigi, decided to continue the business carried out by the Asnaghi family since the end of the 1950s, in laboratory which was originally located in Corso Magenta in Milan, in the current location of the Palazzo delle Stelline. Simone continues to rely on traditional craftsmanship which is still carried out today using the same techniques that were used in the past, while also carrying out modern processes.
Seating - Chairs, armchairs and sofas
Among the furnishing components, the "seats" have great importance. Mute witnesses of the various eras, chairs, armchairs and sofas increasingly maintain an antique value, emotional more than anything else... and why not, also economical. In consideration of the frequent use made in the many years of life, their condition may require a "restoration", i.e. a restoration work that returns them usable and rejuvenated to their time. This is our daily work; fabrics, leather, stitching, springs, nails and other materials to be replaced and assembled must be researched and used to recompose their specific history. And, with experience, I know they can achieve excellent results.…
Curtains
Asnaghi of Milan, a point of reference thanks to many years of experience and great passion for artisan work in the production and sale of interior curtains. Our company, always evolving in step with the times, has specialized in modern and tailor-made interior curtains, improving its products and our service day after day, which every year finds approval from numerous new customers and retains the old ones by supporting them. with an excellent after-sales service. In addition to the fabric used and the refinement of a style, our work includes both the proposal, inspection and creation of the solution, as well as the actual construction of the curtain with its assembly at the customer's site. Creation of modern blinds, roller, Venetian and vertical blinds.
Beds
As with the furniture, seats and curtains, the various eras in which they were built can also be deduced from the shapes and materials used in the beds. We create traditionally made Sommier beds, with springs and padding (rivio, animal and/or vegetable hair) and modernly made beds with slatted bases and beds with storage. Creation of beds of all kinds, with removable covers, various types of padded and non-padded headboards, slatted bases, including custom-made ones, with manual and electric control, padded bed frames and single and double sofa beds.

Mattresses
Before the invention of foam rubber, padding was made with natural materials such as rivio, wool, cotton and horsehair, stitched by hand and covered with fabric or leather; in the early nineteenth century springs were introduced which, used in particular in seats and beds - and also in mattresses - influenced their shapes, as well as undoubtedly offering greater comfort. We carry out the refurbishment of wool, latex, spring and orthopedic mattresses of the best brands (also custom-made).
Home collection and delivery.
What We Do
We carry out upholstery work in stretched and/or padded fabric, sofa renovations and new living room creations, as well as curtains of all kinds, beds and mattresses, carpets and runners. Starting from 2004 Simone decided to avail himself of the collaboration of Alessandro Mootoo, specialized in the restoration of antique furniture, paintings on canvas, graffiti, fake marble, decorations. Stretched Upholstery Fabric covering on walls with cloth or acrylic fiber padding. We like our customers to come to our "workshop" during the processing of the various pieces to be restored, so that they can understand the various techniques used.

Mission
Even if briefly, as we have seen, an important part of our work as "upholsterers" is knowledge of the particularities that have made up the styles in vogue in various eras. This is precisely to be able to tackle the restoration by researching and using not only the most suitable materials but respecting the original shapes, such as padding, nailing, carvings... in such a way as to restore each piece of furniture to its ancient luster. Ultimately, this is also a culture that should never be forgotten.
